To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.

I know
the screeching and the screaming
is frightening,
while they are flying
around you
in the dark.;
but we can face the demons.

I promise you
that in the end,
everything will be alright;
we'll be happy,
side by side,
when we face
our demons.

Together we'll face
the demons
(yours, mine, and everyone's)
and fight
for our King;
we'll fight
for what we believe in,
when we face
the demons.

The author's comments:
Face your demons, with a smile. Someone bigger than us, someone who is reality, who is life itself is with you always, and you can make it through the demons and everything horrible, with Him by your side.

Thank you, so much. I'm glad that you liked it. And also, that the ending was special for you. :) It means, a lot. And it's no problem. :) You're a really talented writer, and a amazing writer and person. :) Thank you again. :)

What stands out to me about this poem is the structure. It reads like a sentence but flows like a poem, which makes it a beautiful and easy read. I especially like the way you say for our King; that made the ending special for me :) (by the way, thank you for the wonderful comments on so many of my pieces. I couldn't believe you read so much that I wrote!)

It is hard to face the demons, but it's not impossible. Thank you so much, for your comment. ^_^

This is so inspiering. Truley. I love how you say "Together we'll face the demons." Its hard to do something as hard as facing demons alone, but knowing there is someone out there, near or far away, that will help you, is so inspiering.

I love the double meaning in this poem-- how the "King" is God, and the Demons are temptations and sins. Your technique is great as well; the short lines really add to the poem. Awesome!
