I used to think
that I would be the girl who wouldn't and couldn't smile
or let alone laugh.
How shocked she was,
when she looked
into the mirror
and saw
a girl
smiling. . .
and laughing.

The girl I saw
used to think that
she couldn't be happy,
but then
she was proven wrong.
The joyful girl I see
in the mirror,
is a whole different girl.

The author's comments:
I think my poem, basically sums it up. I did used to think that I would never smile and let alone laugh, but I was so wrong. Now I'm laughing and smiling and happy almost everyday. And that feeling is so weird to me, but I'm starting to get used to it and loving it. I used to worry so much, and that was the feeling I felt almost everytime, when I was younger. But now, I'm feeling fantastic almost everyday because I know that someone much bigger than me is taking care of me and you. I'm the girl who smiles and laughs now.

This is an elegant poem; the line breaks work perfectly and cause the poem to flow smoothly. I also love the message. It just... makes you feel good haha. Amazing job, once again :)

Whoo hoo! First coment! Honestly honey just the other day I looked at myself and saw someone else, someone stronger and better than before. Reading this poem was like findind a song on the radio that perfectly discribes my life. I love this poem!! :)
