he stands alone

he stands alone on the cliff,
just one step away from the edge,
he closes his eyes and breaths in deep.
he feels the wind in his hair,
the rain on his cheeks,
he hears the sound of the birds,
singing in the mid-morning air.
he is falling down and down into despair,
he decides to end it,
in one little step.
