Shattered
September 12, 2014
I sit there in the darkness
where the light use to shine
i sit there in my own despair
its the only thing thats mine
i used to have so much more
but now all that is gone
i use to have the light at night
but that left as of dawn
i woke and you had vanished
into thin air i guess
because there was no trace of you
not even your sweet nobleness
the doors were shut
but not without some pain
the door was shut so quietly
but still it hurt the same
and now i sit here on the floor
still thinking of you
here i sit on the floor
and yeah you could say I’m blue
I’ve got the pictures of us
they are strewn across the hardwood
most or all of them are shattered
it paints the picture i wish i could
when to you, I actually mattered
i cannot fix the frames
i would not want them repaired
because then ill hang them up
and once again hang in despair
they resemble a heart
that once was so high
but it fell down
crashed from the sky
it shattered apart
when it hit the ground
you broke my heart
and it tried not to make a sound
but it fell apart and it gave up
one day it decided
that it had enough
the pictures are hidden
somewhere away
so that i will not cross them
in the evening of some day
that morning i woke up
more broke than those frames
my heart shattered mightily
when i muttered your name
