The Rain
The rain...
It can last for what seems like forever
Or it can last for... Just a moment
The skies and that burning sun are covered
Taken over
The blue skies turn to different shades of grey and black
Hiding the brightness that blinds us
As the rain falls to the Earth
It appears as if the sky itself is weeping
For the sorrows that it has endured and watched us suffer through
The rain
Can be healing as it nurtures the plants and animals
That it falls upon
It can also be
Wrathful and Revenge driven
Taking out its pain on both those that deserve it
And the Innocents
With cascading floods
That take any life that is unfortunate enough
To be caught in its path
But for me, when it rains
The tears I hold back can flow
Yet still be hidden from the rest of the world
Only the rain
Sees that I am crying

Some of us hold in our pain, our sorrow, our suffering...
We don't show it freely or at times willingly
The rain sees everything yet doesn't judge, it will hide your tears from everyone, allow you your release.
