On the steps of the local Piazza
October 30, 2014
We ate roasted chestnuts;
almost warm and
almost sweet, they surrounded us
in burnt sienna.
Sprays of liquid crystal
glinted above the fluxes
of faces. Milling and thrilling:
this was Italy.

I have never been to Italy, but now I really want to go! This poem is really beautiful. I love the vocabulary you used to create such a wonderful picture. This is really wonderful :) Keep writng, love!
