Beautiful
If I have a baby girl
I’m going to name her beautiful
Because that way no one can
Ever tell her that she isn’t
  Beautiful
I’m going to hold her high above the clouds
  Make sure everyone knows that
  She is mine
  That if you hurt her
You’ll have me to deal with
I’ll pray that she will be
  The best she can be
That no one will ever hurt her
  The way I was hurt
That no guy will ever lay
  A hand on her
  That her first
Will be someone that truly loves her
Someone who will make her know
  That she is loved
Everytime she wakes up in the morning
And every night before she closes her eyes
I’ll tell her I don’t care who she likes
As long as they treat her
  With respect and not hate
I’ll tell her to treat others with respect
  And not hate
  To think before she speaks
  To think before she acts
Think about how her actions affect
  Those around her
  That her life is precious
And that everyone would care if she was gone
  That life is hard
  And yes sometimes we
  Trip and fall
  But that i’ll be there
For every trip and every fall
That no matter how bad the thoughts get
  That i’ll always be there
To help her with whatever her problem is
That instead of being a mother
  I’ll be her best friend
I’ll be the one she goes to
I’ll be the one who holds her
  While she cries
  I’ll be there for
  Her first word
  Her first step
  Her first leap
  Her first heartbreak
  And all the heartbreaks after
  That life may throw punches
And we might get hit a few times
But i’ll remind her it’s ok to throw a few hits back
  That people will be cruel
  But she is strong enough
  To live through it
  And everyday i’ll make
  Her believe
  That she is
  Beautiful
