They had guts, and they
had their independence,
or so they thought, and
they loved talking
about current events.
They were both so
focused on school and
tests; they hardly noticed
that they favorite songs
played in perfect loop.
But it didn’t matter
to them anyway.
They knew that they
were from two different
galaxies, so they took
the thought and threw
it out the train window,
as green grass rolled by,
they passed a hill with two
bright points in the sky
flirting above it.
