"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

Beneath the waves, far from the shore
Lies a kingdom of ancient lore
Where sunlight cannot penetrate
Through the solid iron gate
Here the Sharkmen roam the deeps
And speak with the moonlight as they sleep
They do not sing like the mermaids do
Their screeches are nightmares through and through

Beautiful only from a distance
His glare killing with just a glance
The Sharkmen rule within the dark
With the cold grace of his friend the shark
Pointed teeth and slanted eyes
Cunning, and undeceived by lies
The shadow king of the underwater realm
With presence enough to overwhelm

They’ll drag you down with poison darts
Quick to blacken innocent hearts
Heed my warning, stay away from the sea
Or you’ll end up just like me

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Mmh. Wish I could remember. It was some kid in Hawaii that painted his surf board to look like a shark and all the sharks thought he was shark god!

Thanks for your comment on My Friend Death! I liked this poem. It reminded me of a story I read as a kid.
