A Real Conversation
When you’re talked down to as a child
everyone thinks they’re better
they crown you as wild
but sooner or later
You speak with the wise ones
you fit right in
your growing is done
finally you have a chance to win
You knew the day would come
but not in one vicious attack
you feel so dumb
you want to go back
A real conversation
isn’t what it’s cracked up to be
blissful ignorance
seems so much better to me

This poem was inspired by the frustration that i have for being talked down to, while at the same time wishing that i wasn't in the real world.
