Dauntless Marionette
she is a thunder in the night,
strong and unyielding
but in reality.
her heart is broken glass
waiting to be mended
in her vision, the world is fractured
and she swore to never forgive it
she wept and smiled
loved and lost
then learned to love again
in her lies an unspoken gentleness
to let go of what was lost
to forgive those who have wronged
to continue to believe
when darkness is seemingly endless
in her wavering obedience
lies the desire to be unbound
and for that freedom she will strive
to give in and give it her all
she is strong-willed yet unsure
obedient yet stubborn
motherly in spite of ignorance
tolerant but impatient
and in her imperfection
lies perfection
