Untitled
My mouth has been clumsy since it
Last kissed you,
It has slipped and fallen into
Other lips,
It has lied to mothers and
Spoken unspeakable things.
You would not know me...
My tongue told many people
Many things,
But not one of them heard my
Tongue slip
Around words like you did.
You would not know me...
My eyes have looked upon many
Figures since we last saw each other,
Some clothed and some not,
But I never could see past their eyes,
Dull and lifeless as opposed to yours.
You would not know me...
My hands have grown cold since I
Last held you in them, since I last
Caressed your cheek and slid around
Your own hands.
You would not know me...
My mouth has been clumsy since it
Last kissed you,
It has slipped and fallen into
Other lips,
It has lied to mothers and
Spoken unspeakable things.
You would not know me...
