- What Matters
I began to think it was normal.
To enter the hell I called home and fear,
That one day I may not leave.
Fights day and night by people,
who I was supposed to respect.
How am I to respect the one who scarred me for life?
How am I to respect the one who can’t control his anger?
How am I to respect the one who tried to take me away?
I have no respect for the man who ruined my family.
Who made it impossible for me to trust another.
I have no respect for the man who said he would be there,
but decided he no longer wanted to be on earth.
How does a child recover from a parent changing her life forever.
If you find the answer to these questions let me know.
