I am from
I am from Georgia
Where the hills are high and the weather extreme
From hot summers and cold winters
Never to feel a middle ground
From suits and ties to shorts and t-shirts
I hated my clothes back then
I am from road trips
So many places unseen
From early mornings and late nights
I do not need much sleep
I am from friendship beyond most
My friends were always there for me
I am from a new school
New friends and new enemies
From playing sports with said friends
And going against said enemies
I am from a new understanding
God created everything from nothing
How incredible is that
I am from television
The morning cartoons and the nighttime comedies
From beach hotels and long vacations
I miss those blissful times
I am from a new telescoe
I could see the craters on the moon
I am from video games
The fantasy worlds and unreal situations
I hoped none of it was real
From watching horror movies and awful B-movies
The world has low standards
I am from unexpected miracles
We found a cat in the road
From dark troubles and difficult times
We cannot catch a break
I am from unbearable agony
A car crash was not what we needed
From watching Family Feud in a hospital bed
My collar bone was not in one piece
