Two People
Two people took a baby - swaddled in white
A brawling thing - a bundle of tears
Their first grandchild - a baby boy
And they kissed him - to ease away everything
And they watched him grow up
From baby to toddler to little school boy
They let him bask in Care, Affection, Love
And saw great dreams for that boy
Both still have wise faces, grey and black hair
Beauty that is kissed by Experience
Wisdom that is embraced by Time
And they compressed it into their hearts -
- As a priceless gift for the young one
For they've filled his mind
With sweet Memories and fulfilled Wishes
And they can spend an Eternity of Love for him
That boy is me - still ignorant and gullible,
Yet I love them - the two most special people
It is the ultimate truth of my young life
And it is the most beautiful I've ever known.

The bond between me and my grandparents is the most cherished aspect of my life...............they've stood by me in the dark, they've helped me when the world had turned its back on me and I'm indebted to them .......................... I am nothing without them.................................
