Two Melodies
I imagine the meeting of two souls
to be like the perfect intertwining
of two melodies,
alone, each possessing
their own simplistic beauty,
but together, complex and divine
as if God never created
a more suitable combination
in all the world.
A perfect resonating sound
the two would leave you with,
one that you never would have imagined
together yourself.
These souls stand on their own
as if they were meant to all along,
yet somehow they are more-
they are complete- together.
These two souls, you realize,
are one phrase, one thought,
but many emotions and ideas all at once.
And from this one instance, you know
there is a melody dancing
in the recesses of your consciousness,
yet to be paired.
