Writer's Block
The well has dried up.
Yesterday I was full of it,
Some unknown substance,
Filled with inspiration,
And with language-
Today I can barely put the shoe,
On the right foot.
I had grand emotions,
Today they sit uninspired,
In the belly of the beast-
And what does come out,
Would be better fit,
For someone else’s tongue.
I am trying to charm the snake out,
With honey-coated words,
But she will not try,
She is unconvinced,
And I am out of stories to tell.
