Living With Darkness
Living With Darkness
Everyone lives with darkness;
Someone who degrades another.
This person is always in the back of one’s mind or the devil on one’s shoulder, whispering in her
Ear that she will never amount to anything.
Even when frolicking in the daylight, darkness follows beside in the form of a shadow.
It is always there and near impossible to run away from.
When closing the eyes to find peace and imagine a world full of light, when done imagining,
All that can be seen is the darkness that exists behind one’s own eyelids.
Some may have no choice but to live with the darkness at home.
If home is supposed to be a safe place, full of light, how can she be comfortable knowing that
Darkness lurks within her own home, saying she will never be successful?
Luckily, there is a way out.
In order to escape the darkness, one must create light using everything she is given.
Darkness only affects someone whose self allows her to be vulnerable towards it.
Defying the powers of darkness requires persistence, but it is something that can be done when
Light is desired, more than anything, by an individual.
Darkness provides a challenge when one may not be able to see if this will produce light, but, the
One who desires light the most, is the one who will find a way to create it with what she has been
Given.
Light is not simply found; one must create it.
If the stars in the sky could make their own light, then so can anyone else.
Though the stars may be hard to reach, they are not impossible to touch when she is driven by
Determination.
