My breath catches
Tears are falling down my face.
My covers are on the floor
And my skin is scratched.
I knew that I was dreaming of you
I don’t know why.
My mind hates you
My heart keeps you close.
How can I deny you
When you are a part of me.
How can I
When I see you with her,
Keep quiet and not stare.
When we pass
Our eyes meet.
And yours are filled with hope
I know mine mirror it.
I cannot let go of you
Because I still want to hold on.
