You Don't Know Me
You ask my name
And say you know me
But do you?
Here is a seemingly trivial question most dismiss
Who am I?
Isn't the lie's trader
The one you least expect
If you knew me
You'd know my secrets
You'd see my pain
You'd see the bleeding wound
You'd know my journey to Hell
And the trip back
You wouldn't give me pity
You wouldn't see my smiles as real
You could hear my cry
You would hear the tears
Spilled upon the glass
You say you know me
But why can't you see my bleeding heart
You would know me as
The lie's trader
The person who acts brave
Yet truly is frightened
No, you don't know me
You may never know me
"But I do" you protest
You want to test my theory?
Why can't you see my bleeding heart
