Thoughts Upon the Waking Heart
I want to be the midnight thought as you slowly fall asleep Descending into a blissful slumber, unawoken by fearful torture I want to be your idea of beautiful
Smiling, laughing, whilst frolicking through the joy of knowing love.
Any love
However, due to reality it is demanded that I am not the midnight thought
And God only knows what nightmares come to prey upon your fears while you rest
And let Heaven forbid that love shall be shown to those who may not aspire toward it
Yet, they have it not to still be delivered to them, even though they deserve it most
No, I shall not be your midnight thought
but you are mine, as I start my downward spiral into the dark abyss called sleep.

I guess I was wondering if my boyfriend at the time that this was written thought about me the same way I thought about him; continously. Then I wondered what this was like for other people.
