Autumn's Coming
Autumn is coming.
It’s over your shoulder.
You can see it, in the moon.
Just watch for Autumn.
It sneaks up on you,
Like it’s playing a game of hide-and-seek.
First you feel the chill.
It covers you like a blanket
But it doesn’t warm you!
The leaves begin to shudder.
They fall into a pile of golden, yellow, and brown.
And children’s laughter fills the air.
So watch for Autumn.
Before it passes by unnoticed.
Let it not be forgotten.
Wrap your arms around it,
And shelter Autumn,
Because its cousin Winter is not far.

I guess I wrote this piece because our lives change so much that we don't remember that change is not just in us. It happens everywhere, on a daily basis. Especially the seasons, because they sneak up on you so quickly. You're enjoying Summer, and then BOOM! It's Autumn.
