Quake
On a hill a volcano stood
He was tall and tough like wood
When he was young people came
He was bold and filled with fame
People loved him and would cheer
The loss of friends he never feared
He felt happy and adored
For some families, he was their lord
One day he met a girl
She was beautiful like a pearl
She was charming and so sweet
She swept him off his feet
She loved to go out and have lots of fun
But when she did, he was done
Everytime he became teary
Because his faith got so weary
Every morning he would heave
For the fear that she would leave
She told him she was staying
He never listened to what she was saying
She wished she was free
As he begged her on his knee
He wanted her for his own
But her pain was unknown
She felt lost and in a trap
She was falling and starting to crack
She tried so hard not to cry
As she fixed her broken side
She did what he said
There was a pounding in her head
She realized it was time to leave
For his love she couldn’t please
He realized he made a mistake
His heart was was weak and began to quake
His love for her was so strong
He knew he did her so wrong
The lava flowed and began to pour
As it spewed out from the core
People screamed and began to run
As his heart pounded like a drum
The people lost hope and began to fear
The happy volcano who was once so dear
They turned their backs and left so fast
Their love and affection didn't last
The girl tried to calm him down
But the lava already covered the town
An evacuation was in place
To help protect the human race
He hurt himself and the town
As he headed for a breakdown
He died of a broken heart
Because he loss his sweetheart
As this story shows
Love is as Sharp as a Rose
The ones you love can be hurtful,
Treat you wrong, and be forceful
