It’s calluses
The first few months of building the calluses
The cut up tips of your fingers
The pain, pain oh the pain
it’s cringe of hearing the bow hit the strings wrong,
or not plucking the correct string
Not being able to push on the fret board
Not being able to make the note you need
Not being able to move you hands and arms fast enough for vibrato
Having no time for anything else
Always hearing Practice, Practice, don't quit now
The feeling of hands and wrists hurting so bad you want to quit
But also When you cant play is an evil sin of many
The terrible heart ache of being away from your instrument
Heart aching isn't it?

It’s the months and months of practice to be equipped with everyone else
getting on an advanced level to fit in so quick
It’s the hard work, dedication, passion, thrill, love
A mindset of “I can do this, this is what I want what I was born to do”
Not letting anyone or thing change how you feel about what you do or how you do it
Being the record of your life
Having someone by your side at all times
Not letting what others say bring you down
Taking the comments saying “thank you and have a blessed day”

But playing with others
Its making beautiful harmonics
“ It’s poetic almost, requiring a resistance of rise and fall of perfect
and precise execution of our sound moves through the room”
Reaching into our hearts, breath, soul
The high you feel when it can’t be anymore perfect
The feel of playing takes your breath away with each and every note
It’s Remembering the first chord you made
It’s remembering the reason you started
