Born of Blue
She moves to the rhythm of the Blue,
  constant, but wild.
  Calm.
  Beautiful.
  Alive.
  She sings a lonely song,
yet she floats though she sinks in the sand,
and the winds cannot silence her roar.
  Yes,
she belongs to the Sea, this one – born of Earth, true, but still
the waves pulse in her soul.
Her eyes speak of depths, her lips paint the deep
  with a trembling hand,
for she knows both dark and cold.
  Salt leaks down her cheeks.
  The world fades away,
And all she feels is the
  Deep,
  Dark,
  Blue.
She belongs to the Sea, this one,
and the winds will not silence her roar.
She belongs to the Sea, this fighter,
  and she is headed home.
