I Carry You in My Heart MAG
We go through the years like flower petals
  pulling at each by each
The distance leaves us feeling unsettled
  With a trail sprinkled purplish-peach
We go through the months like cinema popcorn
  Eating away at the flavor
The kernels digested – my heart soon torn
As the moment felt half-heartedly savored
We go through the days like old oak dominoes
One falls onto another and another
I count past my fingers and past my toes
The time since we had last been together
We go through time; hours, minutes, seconds
  We go through the time
  We go through the time
  Clock strikes mine
We go through time as God desires
  And God desires right
So the distance and time are important matters
But trust that we’ll be all right
So if our encounters ever feel short
Or the last felt too distant
Know that the bond is made stronger than before
Though joy lasted for but an instant
So if the time goes by and we cannot meet
  We remain distant, apart
  Forever remember and realize
Your face is printed in my eyes
I carry you in my heart

A poem I wrote dedicated to my family, and most especially the family who live so far away from that I am unable to see them more often than every several years. I wrote this to express to them my true feelings about how much I care about them and will remember them.
