November 13, 2015
It seemed colder
a lingering chill throughout the air.
It is Friday the 13th, bad luck they say
But that is just a myth.
Is it not?
4,927 miles away
the air is colder,
deadlier.
10 o'clock, one explosion,
several gunshots,
dozens dead in theaters and stadiums.
Praying, praying, I pray to God.
I pray to anyone who will listen
Stop!
But they drop like flies.
And by midnight in Paris,
120 are gone.
