"The only true wisdom is knowing you know nothing." ~Socrates

In the desert, they cry when the rain floods their lives after months of starvation, drought, and famine.

In the sea, they gasp for breath as the foamy white turquoise rolls over their heads for a last reprieve.

In their hearts, they sing and dance when they see sunlight in their Dark Days, when they fall out and find hope, courage, and grace.  When their blinders are lifted, they squint as the brightness surrounds them with an unearthly light, and, for the first time, they know what it is to be free.

“The general who advances without coveting fame and retreats without fearing disgrace, whose only thought is to protect his country and do good service for his sovereign, is the jewel of the kingdom.”

Hope. Hope is what makes the world go around to speak for human advancement throughout time. Without Hope and its helpers courage and grace we would be extinct or slaves to a greater kind. There is hope for everyone even one who thinks they lost all hope, because hope is always there. Without it though we shrivel up and die, with hope we grow and prosper as a race throughout the ages. Thanks for spending your precious time for sharing this. I knew someday you would write about hope, it's in your username after all. :)
