Walking Among Monsters
A harsh noise sounds
And the monsters fill the halls.
They sniff out their prey,
The blood-lust singing in their eyes.
But you must continue.
Your whole existence counts on it.
You must walk among the monsters,
Tune out their roaming stares.
Dodge their sharp claws and venom.
Continue on despite your wounds,
Brush off the dust,
And ignore the knife in your back.
