Midnight by the Porch, Alone
  I wish we could be
  Next to each other,
  Especially at night,
When all the lights are dead
  And the moon is asleep.
  When the only sounds
  Are pine trees dancing,
Or an old violin that plays
  Just for you.
  When my mind goes
To dream in the night sky,
And when I want someone here,
Next to me, to experience it.
  To experience nothing,
  Nothing but the soft sounds,
  Nothing but each other.
That’s when I want to be next to you the most.
