Falling
The sun so bright,
The night so dark.
So safe in day,
Such danger in dark.
I follow the hollow sounds,
The ones that call me.
I’m floating on a cloud,
Too scared to look down.
I want to see where the sounds come from,
But they are so far below me.
..I look down,
And I fall from my cloud.
Falling, it seems so real, and so fake.
My subconscious is falling,
Dare I wake?
Is this a dream?
Is it reality?
I’m falling once again,
I need to wake up.
In fear that if I do not,
I may not actually wake up.
So dead night,
So quiet night.
Why is it you call to me?
Is it my time?
But I have so much still to do!
Please do not take me now.
I do not want to fall,
I do not want to drown.
Falling is the feeling,
Falling is my doubt.
I am awake,
What time is it now?
It’s time for me to live,
It time for me to have fun.
The only falling I’ll do now,
Is on my bed at home.
