I think I’m stuck in the story
I think I’m stuck in my mind
Where words weave baskets of disappointment
Where evil seeks out its kind
I’m stuck in the ever-turning pages
The people who aren’t blind
The ones who see and speak and think
The ones who sketch the hands of time
I’m stuck in the story
I’m stuck in the rhyme
I’m stuck in the word upon word
I’m stuck where fingers stand entwined
