open the curtains
hop into bed
next the show begins.

the window to a setting sun
to the immaculate blur through the glass

Orange Pumpkin pies
Red watermelons 
Pink cottoncandy
Lilacs fields 
Crystal blue skies 
Silver lined clouds

form as darkness takes over
opening up to a lifeless sky
light withers away painfully slow
Charcoal black.
too late all faith is lost.

light twinkles in the endless sea of despair
Hope breaks the seal of night,
