They bite me,
My flesh slowly giving way to the beasts inside.
No light at the end of this
Labyrinth.
No space to breath,
My breath escapes with every word unsaid,
Unspoken.
Turning in circles, squares, every shape
Inside my mind
Trying to shut it out,
The large red eyes burned in my brain when I sleep
Always consistent, always there.
Eyes fill,
These barbarians have won.
This creature is my own demise.
I can’t escape,
The tears are burning
They stain my cheeks
Claws scar my skin
Anguish.
I’m stuck in the belly of the beast
Or rather,
It’s stuck in me.

In English class this year, we wrote our very own poetry! The etended metaphor poem idea really spoke to me, and thought I would try it out! This is the final product! Enjoy!
