She's Dreaming Again
Her eyes drift off into a baby blue space above,
Surrounded by clumps of cloud.
There’s a hole in the sky,
She notices.
A big, lonely, hole.
She’s reaching out to touch it,
But all she catches is a fistful of air.
She stares at the empty sky,
Wondering where he went,
And believing that he’s there.
Crash!
She jumps with a scream
as the wind chime falls to the deck.
Her cheeks are a hot pink,
her eyes are delicate glass.
A sob slides down her cheek,
Followed by another,
And another.
She panics as the tears drop,
Falling to her knees with an ache in her heart.
She glances up into the sky,
Wishing for a second chance;
To take back the one day,
That has changed her life
