Thoughts trip over jump ropes
Little voices sound your ears with nonsense
Eyes began to sway to sleep
But this feeling concludes it
Keeps you awake til the clock strikes twelve
Time goes by
And you find yourself
Still worrying
Still overthinking
Still in the same spot you started from
Time never backtracks
Time never stops
But you stand
On one side of the street
While all your sanity walks away on the other
You run an endless path
And time never stops
Neither do you
