The Storm
And there we sat,
In the vast expanse of darkness.
Evil creeping upon us,
Growing slowly in a plume of black
And blood red.
Clouds churn around us ominously,
Approaching quicker than before.
Darker and darker they get.
We all felt it coming but
Nobody said a word.
The sky started to dump vile horrendous tears;
The soil was deluged with the sinful tears of the heavens.
We sat, allowing Mother Nature to take us in as a part of herself,
And so we sat quietly feeling the punishment of God.
As the rain eased, the tension intensified.
The black sky quickly flashed bright.
We were stuck, frozen
The earth convulsed from beneath us,
followed by the sound of a thunderous boom.
And just like that life was restored to how it was once before.
