Happiness
Happiness
I have
grown
like a perennial flower.
I was
weakened by the
cold snow
weighing my shoulders
eventually causing me to
droop so
low I wasn’t
sure how I could possibly
flourish again.
Survival was
questionable following
the seemingly
impossible
season
but then the sun arrived.
The light
bursted on my
weak soul
reviving me.
The yellow rays
took my feeble hand and
taught me to
absorb the light,
for I had
forgotten how to
through the
unbearable
winter.
