Depression is like a dark veil
surrounding your mind.
It distorts what you see,
and makes what you see
seem darker.

What few colors you can distinguish,
seem odd…
not normal.

The colors seem different,
and highly unrealistic.
But for some odd reason,
unlike a physical veil,
you can’t just…
remove it.

Every day is a battle,
struggling with a thin piece of cloth.
That is slowly suffocating you,
driving you to insanity.

After a while
you begin to question
yourself, reality…
It’s hard to remember what’s real
and what’s right.

You feel guilty,
like you’ve done something wrong
even though
it is something
you know you can’t control.
