I fought for so many years to be free from her, but I just kept thinking that maybe she'd change. That's the thing, you have to be brave enough to say, "It doesn't matter if they say they've changed, it matters if they show you." If they don't show you that they are a new, better person, than they aren't. It's just not worth it to sit around and hope, while you get hurt more and more with each passing day. It's hard, yes. You have to be strong, and brave. But in the end, leaving them makes you a better, happier person. It's a beautiful, wonderful, amazing life. Don't let anyone steal that from you
