Mirror
I don’t like the mirror in the corner.

When I look in the mirror,
  All I see is
  A better, version
  Of myself.
  What I am
  Supposed to be.
  They don’t get it.
  It’s hard for me
  To just keep
  With the flow.
  Because I’m not
  Good at anything
  Except my writing
  And my music

  Tomorrow, I’m going
  To try again
  I’ll show my poems
  (Except this one)
  And I’ll keep playing
  Because when I
  Sit down at the piano,
  My worries disappear
  But I don’t have
  A piano in here
  I just have a
  Stupid mirror
  Tomorrow I will
  Smash that mirror

This is about expectations at a school for the gifted that I'm not sure I can live up to.
