Leaving me in the Dark
You and I, a one-on-one meeting in a coffee shop,
engaging and creating personal connections.
Wholeheartedly discussing our life priorities and legacies—
our interaction feels comfortable and is a gift.
Making a family is our goal, but over time,
I am losing you to her.
I see the way you’re looking at her
and how you want to take care of her.
I dedicated all of my time trying to hold on to you.
Trying to improve our chances together,
but you are gone.
Leaving me in the dark.
