Being an Adult

I’m confused
Does turning eighteen, growing up
Mean that I’m an adult now?
Responsibilities, what are those?
Just leave me with my crayons
I don’t want any trouble in my sandbox
Yet you ask me to move? Act my age?
What is my age? Seventeen or seven?
For the longest time I wanted to be an adult
Now all I want to do is go back to kindergarten

I have always thought of myself as an adult, someone who is mature, yet now as I am 18 all I want to do is go back to being a child.
