Am I strong?
Did I take all the right steps?
Did I insure my success?
Or will I fall, and be left behind?
  And turn to dust?

Am I important?
Is my voice clear as a bell or soft as the fog?
Is my face memorable?
Or will I be forgotten?
With the city of Troy?

Am I hopeful?
Have I been there for you?
Do you listen to me as I have to you?
Or will I be disregarded as a listener?
   And shatter like glass?

Am I loved?

Do you love me as I love you?
Do you care for me?
Or will you leave me for another?
Will my flame be extinguished? 

Am I the wise sage?
Did I give you advice when you needed it?
Did I not console you in your greatest hour?
Or will I just seem to be an ordinary human being not extraordinary?
      Do I look like a porcelain doll?
