I Am From
I am from straw and feathers
Dusty furniture and muddy floors
I am from lemonade and hot dogs
Whose taste will be stuck in my mouth
as if they're stuck in my taste buds
I am from cold and smelly hands
From smelly gear and bruises blanketing my body my legs and arms
I am from working out and training
Hopefully one day play for the college of my dreams
I am from crying and gasping for air
From a boy who ending up to not be who he was 10 months ago
I am from overcoming and persevering
Because I deserve better and He has better plans for me...
I am from 11:00 Sunday mornings
Singing so loud I can feel my throat shake and praying for help and forgiveness
I overflowing smiles and obnoxious laughter
Knowing I have him by my side
I am from dancing and singing
From microphone hair brushes and shuffle steps
I am from crazy, outgoing friends who I could be myself around
Who should taken for granted
I am from straw and feathers
Dusty furniture and muddy floors
I am from lemonade and hot dogs
Whose taste will be stuck in my mouth
forever as if they are stuck in my taste buds
