I CAN’T WRITE ABOUT YOU
I try to tell our story
I really truly do
But my heart goes numb
My brain freezes
And my fingers loose focus
Where would I begin?
The start I presume?
But are you worth the pain
That comes with writing down emotion
I feel like I’d try to start at the end
Explaining why we ended
But then I’d feel remorse
Because I wouldn’t write you with justice
We were more than our end
But to start at the beginning
Would cause me too much agony
I hope you can understand
That if when I try to write about you
I can’t.
