Emerald Eyes

Fur the color of chocolate
With spots of the sun and clouds
Eyes like emeralds
Piercing through the dark.
A small voice
Barely heard,
Even in silence.
Even so,
She walks proudly.
She’s like a lion.
Holding her head up,
Never looking down,
Glaring into the face of danger.
