i Need my coffee, like i Need you
I need my coffee
Early morning alarm clock. Late afternoon slap.
Eyes yawn groggy , I gaze at my brew.
Espresso, screaming steam—swirls foam cream.
I need my coffee
Taste biting my tongue. Robust aroma.
Tart ground beans, sable and bitter.
Torani tipping, topping acid to velvet.
I need my coffee
Liquid heaven, joe kisses my tongue in stars.
Light scalding java torches my tastebuds.
Like love, addiction bleeds warm passion.
I need my coffee
Headaches bounce from ceiling to floor, behind my eyes.
Harmony sings, as hearts unify.
Home bears comfort, coffee numbs throbbing.
I need my coffee
Memories retain in prolonged, generous sips.
Mezmerised ocean storms meet mountains.
Molding connections, another glass is topped.
I need my coffee
Cold hands cradle yours, wrapped around a mug.
Crowded butterflies burn in bellies.
Coffee builds bridges and bonds. I gaze at you.
I need my coffee.
