I am my Dog
My dog is faithful and loyal to us,
He doesn’t abandon or abuse our trust.
So much freedom to bolt and be free,
Yet he chooses to come back to me.
My dog is curious and is always exploring,
Smelling this and that: sniffing and snoring.
He jumps with joy as he explores new places,
But no matter who he meets, he remembers our faces.
My dog is humble and always obeys,
He follows our commands all of his days.
Never questions, never in doubt
That his big smart humans have figured it out.
