That Galaxy
The city was another galaxy
An odd, yet intriguing place for me
There was so much to see
And so many places to be
The bright lights of the skyscrapers were stars
That basked in the spotlight as
They were the center of night
Yet, on their streets lurked fright
The bustling cars were asteroids,
That traveled, from near and far
They enjoyed the time in space
At their own little pace
As I look to my spaceship,
To this new home I have found,
A trickling sadness lingers in my heart
For the shining, busy city has vanished
Without a sound.
